ffl text comparisons
observed differences in the text between the gameboy (gb) and collection of saga (CoS) versions of final fantasy legend (ffl).
this is meant to be comprehensive but inevitably won't be.

margins
many of the changes in ffl are about fixing bad line breaks and dropped punctuation. when a line of text runs up to the window border, and including the stop would result in word wrap, gb ffl typically just omits the stop.
this page is about what's different, and not what's the same, but it's worth noting that there are still plenty of cases in CoS ffl where this wasn't fixed and still happens. (as well as places where additional bad margins have been introduced.)
attribution
at least one of the early conversations has a line attributed to a different party member in CoS than in gb ffl. i don't know whether to even count this as a change worth mentioning here. there could easily be other cases of this which i overlooked.
the ffl ellipsis
the ellipsis glyph in ffl and saga is two centred dots. it's typically used in a pair, to produce an effect like this:
probably because of faulty encoding, some text in gb ffl instead uses a stop, then an ellipsis, then a stop, which gives this weird effect:
some of these cases have been fixed in the CoS version, but others haven't.
this file uses the "horizontal ellipsis" character in place of the two-dot ffl glyph. the effect is kinda lost, you'll have to use your imagination.
